You know to understand anything we have to understand how the system works….and this is what exactly we are going to do in this video, we are going to understand how youtube shorts algorithm works and i am going to tell you 3 things, that you need to do if order to increase views if you are not getting views on your youtube shorts.

Intro….

Youtube has announced that they will pay 100 million dollars to shorts content creators who make hit videos….

That means they are promoting youtube shorts, but when you put your short video they are not promoting your videos why….what is that mistake that you are doing, what are the things that you are ignoring while making videos…..

Let's discuss that…..

When you upload any video, youtube tests that video by promoting them in a small group of people….and if your video does not give positive signals to youtube ...youtube stops promoting that.

Now you will ask what are the positive signals for youtube….These are Like, Comment and most important audience retention rate……

Why audience retention rate is so important because….short videos are already shot and if people do not watch your full video, it gives a signal to youtube that this video is not liked by viewers… so youtube stops promoting that.

Now if you really want to keep your retention rate high, you have to make your short video in this way that is catches the eye of the viewer instantly….because viewer decided whether to watch you short video or not in fraction of seconds…..try to give your best shot in the beginning of the video or tell your audience there is something important at the end of the video…. do something like this, that can keep your audience to watch your full video.

Now let's come on the next big thing….and that is the duration of your video….

Youtube emphasizes to keep your short videos actually short… However there is an option that you can extend your video upto 60 seconds, but, goin all the way to the full length will not going to help you, in fact, it will work against you….it will give viewers time to skip your video which can lower your retention rate...and the other reason is that, youtube just want you to make your short video short….so it can give viewers what they actually want...they want to give maximum entertainment in minimum time...youtube don't mention that in their policy directly but indirectly….yes….they have mentioned it…

So try to keep your video length from 15-20 sec max……and it will definitely boost your views..

And the last and the most important, but simple thing that people failed to do often….is consistency….

youtube want you to upload consisten short videos on their platform….Algorithm of short videos are little bit different from the normal video...it does not work on tags, or thumbnails….so, to identify the quality of creators, youtube checks the consistency of uploading the video…..and if you are new or beginner you have to upload multiple short videos to tell youtube that you are serious creator and if you put lets take hypothetical figure, a 10 videos in a week….youtube try they above explained algorithm on your 2 videos of of 10 and see how your video perform, and if you keep giving 10 videos weekly to youtube, then youtube algorithm will realise that you are a consistent creator and it will boost more your videos and you will increase the chance to get high views on your short videos…..

So, try to keep these 3 things in mind while making short videos, and you will be something at the end of this year.
