North Korea: First state appearance of Kim Jong Un disproves rumours

According to state media photos, Kim Jong Un was seen smoking after an appearance in a ceremony to mark the completion of a fertiliser factory in Sunchon.

Kim Yo Jong, sister of North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un was speculated as a possible new leader as rumours grew of his health after missing the birthday of his grandfather Kim Il-sung, the country’s founder.

No one knows precisely what would happen in the country or its weapons without its leader.
