Laxmi Agarwal Unhappy with Chhapaak. The most anticipated movie of 2020 is none other than Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak which is based on true events. The movie is based on the real life acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal whose role is being played by Deepika Padukone. The trailer of the movie was launched recently and Deepika is praised by everybody. The movie is currently in the news for good reasons and as well as for bad reasons. It is to be believed then the real life acid attack survivor Laxmi is not happy with the money she was paid for the copyright of her story. Meghna Gulzar the director of the movie was inspired by the indomitable spirit of Laxmi and her story. So she decided to make a movie on her life to make her story reach every corner of the world. But it is reported that Laxmi Agarwal was paid very less amount for the film rights of her story. Laxmi Agarwal is currently not happy with the money she had initially taken to tell her stories through the movie. Initially she was paid 13 lakhs which is really very less for the rights of her story. It is going to be Deepika’s first movie as a producer. Deepika stated that she wants Laxmi to be paid the right amount which she deserves to be paid and she would look into the matter. According to a source Laxmi is currently suggested to take more money from the makers and she really deserves that. And because of that Laxmi is having a major rift with the makers of Chhapaak. Chhapaak is also doing rounds the news and received a legal notice recently. A writer has approached the Bombay High court and claimed against the makers of the movie that he had originally written the story. Rakesh Bharti who is seeking credit for the story said that he went from doors to doors with his story but no artist was ready. Because of that he wasn’t able to start production of the film along with his son. He also added in his petition that the movie has maintained the entire story conceptualised by him. The petition also added that Rakesh’s son also got the tentative name of the film- Black Day. Rakesh Bharti demanded that a temporary order should be issued against the makers until appropriate credit is given to him. Looks like controversy isn’t leaving Chhapaak soon. The movie is set to be released on 10th January, 2020. Do let us know in the comment section about your views on the controversies.
