Chinese khaman bhel recipe
Ingredients :
For the Khaman Dhokla
• 1 cups Fortune khaman dhokla besan
• 1 tbsp semolina (rava)
• 1 tsp ginger-green chilli paste
• 1 tsp lemon juice
• Salt to taste
Other ingredients :
• ¼ cup mixed sprouts
• ¼ cup spring onions greens, chopped
• ¼ cup cabbage, shredded
• 2 tbsp Schezwan sauce
• Crispy fried noodles, for garnish
Method :
1. Combine the besan, semolina,sugar, ginger-green chilli paste, lemon juice and salt with approx. ¾ cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well using a whisk to get a smooth batter.
2. Just before steaming, add the fruit salt and mix lightly.
3. Pour the mixture immediately to a greased tin or thali and spread evenly by rotating it clockwise.
4. Steam in a steamer for 10 to 12 minutes or till the dhoklas are cooked. Keep aside to cool.
5. After steaming, cool down the dhoklas completely. Demould the dhoklas and cut them. Crumble them in a bowl.
6. Add sprouts, spring onion, cabbage and schezwan sauce. Mix it well.
7. Serve immediately garnished with crispy fried noodles.
